About Our Website

Free Layouts.com was established in January 2000, and set out on one mission- to offer free website templates to website designers who were inexperienced, or just needed some inspiration for their designs. Since then, our database has grown to exceed 500 templates, with more and more templates submitted daily.

Some of us (read: me) have trouble getting inspired with our own Web sites, and templates can help us quit staring at a blank page. Each layout has a rating and the number of votes. After all, if only one person rated it a 10, it means less than if 100 people rated another layout an average of 8.7. These templates range in both design and layout with the top templates grouped for easy viewing. Our promise to our visitors is that we will in no way, ever sell any templates on this website. All advertisements will be clearly marked as such, and we will never charge any visitor for any of the templates from our collection. In addition, we will never promote or sell links to unrelated websites.

Free Layouts.com supports W3 standard-compliant websites. In keeping with this mission, we only accept templates that are W3 validated, and designed this website to be fully standards compliant. Some of the older templates in our collection may not validate, and as such, you should make sure your code validates before using the template.
